Deliverance From Spirit of Devourer

Text: Malachi 3: 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;

neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Many God’s children experience financial struggles despite hard work. (John 21: 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.)

But the Bible has identified a spirit from the pit of hell called devourer as the force behind these troubles.

Devourer is Spiritual force causing loss, setbacks, and stagnation.

It causes financial leaks, unexpected expenses and failed investments. (Hagi 1:6) It can affect health, business and good opportunities.

Note:

This devourer operates where covenant covering is absent. (Eccl10:8).

The truth is that no amount of prayer can stop operations of devourer, but only God can rebuke it when

tithe is honored. (Mal 3:11)

You must understand tithe as a covenant

It is your 10% of your total income you must return to God.

1. Divine rebuke: – (God will personally confront the evil spirit) -(Exd 23:22)
2. Preservation of Your Resources: – (You will experience less loss and very few financial crises that may come out of our human errors)
3. Restoration of losses: – (Joel 2:25, God by himself restores what the devil has devoured.

👉Tithing does not just bring increase, it secures what you have.

Conditions for Effective Tithing

1. You must be consistent: – Tithing works more when we make it a lifestyle and not occasional (Prov 12:24)
2. You must have Right Heart Attitude: – Giving your tithes cheerfully, willingly and not grudgingly makes your tithes work. (2Cor 9:7)
3. Righteous living: – Obedience strengthens covenant impact (Prov 14:34)
4. You must keep declaring Faith: – speak preservation over your finances and life.

Benefits of Tithing well

1. You have peace of mind
2. It gives you favor and unusual opportunities
3. It helps to keep your health preserved
4. It gives your business stability
5. Your family is kept under divine protection

Why do people fail in tithing after many teachings?

1. When the spirit of devourer disarms the believer through the spirit of greed or covetousness. (Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.)
2. When the spirit of devourer has blinded the mind of a believer – (2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.)

Solution

1. Take responsibility of all setbacks, failures, stagnation and loss of opportunities because of non-effective covenant practice
2. Pray deliverance prayers and breakaway from greed or covetousness
3. Determine to walk in covenant of tithing

Conclusion Tithing is not a loss but a spiritual insurance, a covenant practice that keeps the spirit of devourer away from you while allowing your harvest to grow. Your faithfulness today would secure your tomorrow.
