Text: Psalm 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
A unicorn is a flying horse (horse is known for strength and speed, when the horse grows wings it will become powerful)
✅ Anointing is not static therefore the anointing that brought you to that level you are cannot Carry you to the next level of your dream.
Anointing gives you spiritual capacity, authority and impact
In scripture and life, we have seen men rose from local to national to global impact
There’s a dimension of grace you are now but until the anointing upon you is upgraded there’re certain breakthroughs and responsibilities you can’t handle.
An upgrade anointing refers to a higher dimension of grace and empowerment upon a person’s life. It is moving from one level of spiritual capacity, authority and impact to another.
King David had upgraded anointing three times
👉 As a shepherd (1Sam 16:13) and he killed Goliath
👉 As king over Judah (2Sam 2:4) And he prevailed over the house of King Saul (2Sam 3:1)
👉 As king over all Israel (2Sam 5:3) and he brought down the Philistines Each anointing mark a higher level of responsibility and authority and impact.
Levels of anointing
👉 Anointing for survival – grace to subdue resistance and stagnation
👉 Anointing for leadership – grace for higher influence in business or position.
👉 Anointing for service – grace to function effectively in God’s kingdom
👉 Anointing for territorial dominion – This anointing takes you away from nothing to something.
Signs you’re entering an upgrade anointing
- Holy dissatisfaction with current level – Moses
- Increased spiritual burden – Nehemiah
- Greater doors opening – Paul
- Demand exceeding your current capacity – Elisha
- Deeper prayer burden – Jesus
How to provoke upgrade anointing
- Capacity Enlargement – Faithfulness in present assignment (Luk 16:10) Intense hunger to rise in level (Mtt 5:6)
- Sacrificial service- kingdom service enlarges spiritual capacity – Mtt 4:20-22
- Deeper Consecration – Holiness and set apart sustains higher oil – 2Cor 6:17
- Impartation – Association with higher grace transfers capacity (double portion anointing – 2Kings 2
- Covenant alignment – Aligning with God’s covenant practice (service, seed and soul winning)
